Post Frame & Agricultural Applications

Builders and owners of Post Frame structures were among the first to recognize the tremendous benefits of reflective insulations. No post frame or agricultural building should be constructed without Solarguard insulation. It will brighten the interior and help control condensation in unheated structures. Solarguard will also keep your building comfortable in hot summer conditions.

Solarguard is ideal for insulating agricultural buildings, particularly those housing livestock. Solarguard will keep animals comfortable in the hot summer months and can increase animal productivity. Because Solarguard is only 1/4" thick it does not provide a suitable environment for rodents or birds nest in. The durable scrim-reinforced facing will resist tears and is easy to wipe clean.

Solarguard is easy to work with in both new construction and in retrofit applications. Because Solarguard is so thin, it is easy to handle. Splices are quickly and easily made, so you can buy Solarguard in standard roll sizes, eliminating the need to order your insulation in custom cut roll lengths. Solarguard's compact roll size make it simple to install and easy to transport to the jobsite.

Solarguard features superior flame/smoke ratings, per ASTM E84, of less than 25/50 and will meet the strictest requirements of any building code. Solarguard acheived a flame spread rating of 25 or less and a smoke developed rating of 50 or less in the ASTM E84 test without the use of poultry wire mesh support, which can result in lower ratings than can be acheived without the use of such support.
